Job Description:

Neustar, Inc. seeks a Principal Software Engineer in San Francisco, CA

Duties: Design, implement, and ensure the quality and repeatability of

internal software solutions. Work with other engineers to design and

develop the tools and processes utilized for reliably coordinating and

monitoring the execution of custom products. Build prototypes, proof of

concepts, and perform custom data analysis. Analyze user data from internal

and external data sources, and solve complex problems with Science and

Engineering teams.

Education and Experience:

Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical

Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and three (3) years of

experience architecting and designing complex data integration systems for

disparate heterogeneous data; OR, alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree (or

foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering,

Information Systems, or related field and six (6) years of experience as

indicated above.

Special Requirements:

Also requires demonstrated expertise (DE): performing Java application

development to process datasets on MySQL, MongoDB and Neo4j; DE

manipulating large datasets (billions of rows); DE deploying multiple

MongoDB and Neo4j data servers for high-availability on Amazon Cloud

services; DE designing and developing databases with Relational and NoSQL

data models; DE writing and executing complex SQL queries, and performing

BASH and Shell scripting on Unix operating systems; DE translating business

objectives into actionable analyses, and explaining technical concepts and

implications to groups of technical and non-technical personnel; and DE

using event and stream processing engine in updating relational and non-

relational databases.
