Job Description:
A company is looking for a Tax Research Analyst to minimize
financial risk related to penalties and interest through research
and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Research penalty and interest cases to determine root causes and
document findings
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and present case updates to
senior leaders
Engage with customers and agencies to negotiate and recover penalty
and interest fees
Required Qualifications
Previous experience in customer support or related roles
Advanced knowledge of tax filing, penalty and interest fees, and
abatement processes
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
preferred
Proven track record of successfully recovering fees from reporting
agencies
Strong understanding of Federal, State, and Local agency
processes
