Front End Engineer - CyclesFull Time (Remote)Locations: Canada, Switzerland, UK, USAAbout CyclesCycles is the open clearing protocol, designed to clear the most debt for the most people with the least money. Cycles optimizes payment and credit flows and resolves gridlock. It can reduce working capital costs, late payments, and cash flow stress for businesses everywhere. Cycles is made possible by the intersection of distributed systems, graph theory, cryptography, secure hardware, and smart contracts. It's designed from first principles to solve fundamental liquidity challenges in payment and financial systems.Cycles is being incubated by Informal Systems.About the RoleWe are looking for multiple Front-End Engineers to help shape and build user interfaces for numerous products in development built upon the Cycles protocol. These products aim to revolutionize how people and businesses interact with money, clearing, and payments.The ideal candidates will have a passion for building engaging, user-centric web-based or mobile-based applications, with strong interests in FinTech, digital banking, accounting, or crypto. As a Front-End Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to create intuitive and scalable interfaces, directly contributing to the success of these products and the broader Cycles ecosystem.What Sets Us ApartInformal Systems has a strong, collaborative, remote-first culture that prioritizes delivery of results, innovation, and ownership. The company has deep theoretical and practical distributed systems experience outside of the business unit.What your primary responsibilities will be:

• Develop and maintain responsive and performant front-end applications using modern frameworks like React or React Native.
• Translate UI/UX designs into functional, visually appealing interfaces that provide a seamless user experience.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate and ensure smooth functionality across the stack.
• Continuously optimize applications for speed, reliability, and scalability.
• Contribute to prototyping and development of new features across multiple products built upon the Cycles protocol.
• Write and maintain comprehensive tests to ensure quality and reliability of codebases.
• Work with designers and product managers to ensure products align with user needs and the Cycles vision.What we look for in a successful Front End Engineer:
• 3+ years of professional experience in front-end development, with strong expertise in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and frameworks like React or Vue.js.
• Experience building responsive, mobile-first applications, ideally using React Native and Expo.
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, accessibility standards, and responsive design.
• Experience using Figma and a passion for design.
• Exposure to FinTech, digital banking, accounting software, or crypto.
• Experience using Web3 toolkits like WalletConnect/Reown, Web3Auth, Capsule, etc.
• A passion for creating intuitive, beautiful, and functional interfaces.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience working in fast-paced, collaborative, and agile environments.Some of our benefits include:
