Staff Backend Engineer

• Location: San Francisco, CA
• Company Stage of Funding: Series A ($20M led by Bessemer Venture Partners)
• Office Type: Onsite 5 Days a Week

Their platform serves as a command center by integrating with CRMs, marketing automation tools, ad platforms, and data warehouses to reveal ideal customer journeys. Their solution helps companies measure channel performance, launch cost-efficient campaigns, and prioritize the right accounts. Despite their young age (founded 2022), they've already secured 150+ B2B customers and recently announced a $20M Series A funding round.What You Will Do
  • Become the guardian of our client's most vital asset: their data
  • Manage and optimize 30+ integrations with various data sources (CRMs, ad platforms, marketing tools)
  • Architect a robust backend system capable of processing billions of daily data inserts
  • Navigate complex challenges including API rate limiting, multi-step caching strategies, and message queue optimization
  • Design and implement sophisticated data pipelines that transform raw information into actionable business intelligence
  • Help scale the infrastructure of one of the fastest-growing companies to emerge from Y CombinatorIdeal Candidate Background
    • 8+ years of experience as a software engineer focused on backend platforms for scaling SaaS startups
    • Proven track record handling scalability challenges in high-growth environments
    • Hands-on experience working with APIs at scale (not just as a team member, but as a key contributor)
    • Strong backend knowledge (Node.js, Express)
    • Experience with AWS services
    • Familiarity with ClickHouse
    • History of making significant impact in fast-paced environmentsPreferred Qualifications
      • Experience at B2B SaaS companies during periods of hypergrowth
      • Track record of quick career progression demonstrating exceptional capabilities
      • Experience with data pipeline optimization
      • Interesting side projects that demonstrate passion for engineering
