DescriptionJob PurposeThe Project Engineer is an entry-level
position that provides support to the Construction Management &
Project Management teams in the successful execution of
construction projects. This position assists with various project
tasks, focusing on learning and developing essential project
engineering skills under the guidance of the Construction
Management team. This role requires a highly motivated individual
with a strong work ethic, a desire to learn, and a commitment to
teamwork. Must be willing to travel and hold a valid driver's
license.Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Procurement Coordination:
- Collaborate with the procurement team to monitor purchase
orders and ensure on-time delivery of materials and equipment.
- Verify order accuracy, specifications, and adherence to project
requirements.
- Project Scheduling Support:
- Assist project managers in maintaining and updating project
schedules.
- Identify and address potential delays by proactively following
up with vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Vendor and Supplier Liaison:
- Maintain clear communication with suppliers and vendors to
confirm delivery timelines, resolve issues, and expedite
shipments.
- Track and report on the status of orders and shipments to
project teams.
- Coordination with Project Teams:
- Work closely with project lead installers and superintendents
to ensure materials and equipment are available on-site as needed
to avoid delays.
- Communicate updates on delivery schedules and resolve any
on-site material shortages or discrepancies promptly.
- Documentation and Recordkeeping:
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, delivery
schedules, and communications.
- Prepare and distribute regular status reports to project
managers and stakeholders.
- Problem Resolution:
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to delays, incomplete
deliveries, or quality concerns in coordination with the
procurement and project teams.
- Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate management
level.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Serve as a key point of contact for project teams regarding the
status of materials and equipment.
- Participate in project meetings to provide updates and ensure
alignment on priorities.
- Handle confidential data professionally.
- Additional tasks as assigned by the management
team(s).RequirementsSkills & Qualifications

- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business
Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
(preferred).
- Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or project
coordination in the construction industry.
- Familiarity with construction materials and project management
tools is highly desirable.
- Experience with PDF editor, Google Docs and Sheets (or Word and
Excel), and a general computing background.Direct Reports

- Flexible Schedule: must have ability and willingness to
maintain flexible work schedules, as weekend and extended workdays
are necessary.
- Occasional Exposure: Dust, fumes, chemicals, and loud noise.
Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided
and must be worn as required.
- Physical Tasks: Climbing ladders, transportation of materials,
accessing high places, carrying materials, and working in proximity
to moving mechanical parts.
- Physical Requirements: Frequent bending, reaching, handling,
sitting, standing, walking, and lifting 20 lbs. or more.General
