If you're passionate about tackling impactful challenges and building transformative solutions from the ground up, we invite you to join us on this exciting journey!THE ROLE:As a Solutions Engineer at Baseten, you will work alongside our sales team to help prospects and customers understand the technical value of our platform in the early stages of their journey. You'll serve as a technical advisor, conducting demonstrations, running benchmarks, and creating custom proof-of-concepts that showcase how Baseten's inference infrastructure and Truss system can address specific customer needs. This role is critical in translating Baseten's technical capabilities into business value for prospective customers.RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Partner with the sales team to engage prospects and provide technical expertise throughout the early sales cycle
• Help conduct evaluations of Baseten's platform for prospective customers
• Create customized demonstrations and proof-of-concepts that highlight Baseten's capabilities in solving customer-specific AI deployment challenges
• Gather customer requirements and technical feedback to inform product roadmap decisions
• Identify common customer pain points and collaborate with product teams to address them
• Stay current with industry trends, open-source ML models, and AI deployment best practices
• Partner with the Forward Deployed Engineer team to deliver value for strategic customersREQUIREMENTS:
  • 2+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or customer-facing technical roles, preferably in an ML/AI company or ML-focused role
  • Intermediate experience with Python
  • Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts, especially around model deployment and inference
  • Familiarity with open-source ML models and common LLM tools and frameworks (e.g., LangChain, Hugging Face, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experienceBENEFITS:
