We innovate the workflows and simulators that are essential to the creation of cutting-edge electronics. We are seeking a creative individual for the role of Application Development Engineer. The role will focus on developing new solutions, showcasing new functionality released in Keysight's Advanced Design System platform, and the creation of real solutions to customers' challenges.The role is within the expansive and exciting world of simulation for cutting-edge ICs, modules, and RF board design, from MHz to THz. The role reports to the product management team, working with peers in application development and product management positions, and interfacing with R&D and sales team partners.ResponsibilitiesCreation and delivery of:

  • Technical papers and application notes on RF & Microwave design workflows
  • New applications/design automation driven through Python APIs
  • Pioneering the use of AI to accelerate design within the EDA tool platforms
  • Workshops and training for customers on the use of Python automation
  • Professional demo videos and internal technical trainingQualificationsMinimum BS Degree in Electronic EngineeringMinimum 3 years of RF/Microwave experience (Design or Application Engineering)Experience with Keysight's Advanced Design System EDA toolsetProficiency with PythonThe ideal candidate will have a passion for creating new solutions, developing fast new automated workflows through Python coding, with prior RF/MW simulation experience (tools/processes).The level of role will be based on applicable experience, education, and skills.Most offers will be between the minimum and the midpoint of the Salary Range listed below.Santa Rosa, California pay range: MIN $139,270, MIDPOINT $185,600.00 - MAX $232,120.00Note: For other locations, pay ranges will vary by region.This role is eligible for our Keysight Results Bonus Program.US Employees may be eligible for the following benefits:
