One of the San Francisco Bay Area's flagship hospitals is seeking a NICU Nurse Manager. The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at this large acute care medical center is a Level III NICU and the Labor and Delivery Unit is one of Northern California's busiest. The NICU Nurse Manager will be integral to the ongoing success of this maternal child health department.
The NICU Nurse Manager will lead department performance improvement initiatives, HCAP metrics, patient care initiatives and work collaboratively with the NICU Nurse Educator. A tenured team of RNs and NICU Charge Nurses will support the RN Manager. In addition, this staff strives to achieve and many have their RNC-NIC credentials. The women's services team keep patient experience and patient outcomes in the forefront of their decision making and the NICU Nurse Manager will share evidence-based practices throughout the unit. The Antepartum, Labor and Delivery, Post-Partum and NICU nursing leadership maintain open communication and enjoy interdepartmental collaboration.

The 500-bed medical center delivers more than 400 newborns per month. The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit has 34 suites, 18 single rooms and additional patient care areas if needed. The NICU care team provides lifesaving care for infants and refer those patients requiring ECMO services to a nearby Level I Pediatric Trauma Center.
