Job Description:
A Registered Nurse (RN) in Oncology provides specialized care to
patients diagnosed with cancer. They assess patient conditions,
administer chemotherapy and other cancer treatments, monitor for
side effects, and offer emotional support throughout the treatment
process. Oncology nurses collaborate with doctors, oncologists, and
other healthcare providers to develop and implement care plans
tailored to each patient---s needs. They educate patients and
families about cancer treatments, symptoms, and self-care. Oncology
nurses also provide pain management and symptom relief, ensuring
patients are as comfortable as possible during their treatment.
This role requires a strong knowledge of cancer care, excellent
communication skills, and a compassionate approach to working with
patients facing serious health challenges.
