Experienced Associate - Equity Research, Healthcare ServicesJob Description:Position SummaryGuggenheim is seeking an exceptional candidate to join as a sell-side Equity Research Associate to help cover the Healthcare Services sector. This person will be responsible for following the progress of public/private Healthcare Services companies and will support the research team in its efforts to analyze companies and make stock recommendations to institutional investor clients. In addition to excellent writing skills, financial modeling and communication skills, the ideal candidate will demonstrate high aptitude for gathering and synthesizing relevant primary market data. Candidate must be able to demonstrate a willingness to conduct ongoing independent market research and related industry networking. The ability to convey an investment message through a written research report is key to the success of this hire.Essential Job Functions

• Provide support to the Senior Analyst through fundamental analysis and investment research in equity markets with an emphasis on original, bottom-up research in the Healthcare Services sector, including healthcare payors, providers, and services entities.
• Analyze individual Healthcare Services companies to build and update fully integrated financial and valuation models.
• Write comprehensive research reports and present findings; draft reports/notes on relevant investment themes, events and breaking news.
• Conduct primary research through industry sources including, but not limited to, financial analysis, due diligence clinical data and industry trends, company management and strategies.
• Organize calls for investors and investor events.
• Update analyst marketing handout regularly.
• Interact with Firm's institutional sales force and investor clients.
• Respond to client and internal inquiries regarding research findings and directives.Preferred Qualifications
  • Fluency in modeling financial statements.
  • Comfortable with large data sets and reporting.
  • Understanding of the capital markets and stock markets, and a passion for investing.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to successfully convey investment messages, ideas, or nuances to team members, salespeople, and/or traders.
  • Outstanding analytical skills; ability to conduct deep primary research, analysis, and draw conclusions from information.
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills and style conducive to building relationships.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment; self-starter with a proven commitment to producing high quality work.
  • Team oriented, unquestionable honesty and integrity, intellectual curiosity, and dedication to providing clients with the best products.
  • Ability to deliver under pressure and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Business degree (CFA / MBA ) preferred, but not required.Basic Qualifications

    • Must have or obtain FINRA SIE, 63, 86, and 87 licenses within 6 months of hire.Work Location
      • Currently, this role is expected to be in the New York office at least 4 days per week.Salary
        • Annual base salary between $100,000 and $165,000.
        • The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience.
