Purpose and Essential Functions:The School of Health Sciences at
the University of Pacific invites applications for a full-time,
non-tenure track position as an Assistant Clinical Professor of
Audiology in the Audiology Department. The primary purpose of this
position is to deliver a full array of clinical audiology services,
provide clinical education to Au.D. students and participate in a
culture that promotes humanistic patient care at the highest
possible standards of service for their individual needs.
- Perform audiological services (including threshold evaluation,
speech audiometry, immittance testing, and otoacoustic emissions)
to evaluate and define hearing problems.
- Counsel patients and/or patient's family regarding audiometric
findings and subsequent recommendations.
- Provide comprehensive hearing aid services including
evaluation, fitting, counseling, dispensing, electroacoustic and
real ear analysis, orientation, earmold impression modification,
and minor hearing aid repair.
- Refer patients and family members to appropriate professional
specialists, agencies and resources.
- Provide written reports as appropriate and maintain careful
documentation of records of services provided to individuals.
- Participate in the student clinical education, precepting and
establishing high standards of student competency.
- Teach courses within the AuD program as assigned by Department
Chair.
- Assist the Clinic Director and program leadership to implement
and maintain student education policy and procedures.
- Assist with patient service policy and procedures, marketing
efforts and outreach activities as assigned by the Clinic
Director.
- Attend faculty meetings and contribute to program development
and service improvement initiatives.University of the Pacific

- Au.D. or Ph.D. degree in Audiology, or an equivalent
combination of education and experience prior to implementation of
AuD (i.e., master's degree), or a third (3rd) or fourth (4th) year
audiology extern currently enrolled in Au.D. program with a
projected graduation date of 2025.
- Clinical service experience with patient-centered and
evidence-based approach.
- Current, temporary, or permanent California Audiologist license
or a Provisional Audiologist license and full licensure within
three (3) months of hire.Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a wide range of specialties in the field of
audiology (e.g. evoked potential, balance function management,
tinnitus management and pediatric audiology).
- Proficiency in hearing aid dispensing to include programmable
hearing aids of major manufacturers.
- Previous supervision of audiology students.
- Familiarity of insurance billing procedures and patient
management system software.
- Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse
backgrounds and cultures.
- Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity,
and inclusion in a university setting.
- Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices
and knowledge in their work.Physical RequirementsThe physical

performed in a standard office environment during standard business
hours.Hiring Range$115,000.00 - $128,000.00 per year. We consider
factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of
