Metadata and Data Profiling Analyst Job Opportunity in either San Francisco, CA, or Charlotte, NC!!
Location: San Francisco, CA OR Charlotte, NC
 
One of our top clients in the financial space is looking for a metadata and data profiling analyst to work on improving business metadata and analyzing data contents across systems-of-record.
  
This role would be best fit with a Business Analyst with a technical background, someone with prior metadata experience and with data management and relational database experience across different platforms (Oracle and SQL Server would be top priority). Our client is looking for someone who can help them drive metadata standards in different channels of the bank and can help train colleagues to implement and maintain those standards.
 
Secondly the person in this role would be responsible for data profiling, as our client on-board systems-of-record to our integration hub.  They want to profile the data, as it helps them to assess whether the metadata accurately describes the data and is a step towards data conformance.
 
Overall, our client needs someone who has a relational database background (across multiple platforms), has worked with metadata and has also done data profiling work. The right person for this role should have experience working with both logical and physical data models as he/she will be taking technical database information and translating that into business (logical) terminology and definitions. It is a mixed BA/DA role - the person in this position would be simultaneously working as both a business and data analyst.
