To achieve our goals, we are passionate about understanding our buyer and seller experiences and becoming experts in our business metrics. This is a critical role on the notifications team, where you will architect complex systems to send the right message to the right user at the right time, at scale.Team members in this role are required to be within commuting distance of our San Francisco, CA, Los Angeles, CA, New York, NY, or Seattle, WA hubs.Who Thrives at WhatnotCurious about who thrives at Whatnot? We've found that low ego, a growth mindset, and leaning into action and high impact goes a long way here.QualificationsAs our next Software Engineer on our Growth team, you should have 5+ years of full-time software engineering experience in high growth startups, plus:

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent product instincts. You first think about users rather than the best technical solution.
• Experience working on notifications or messaging systems is a plus.Compensation$215,000/year to $285,000/year + benefits + equity. The salary range may be inclusive of several levels that would be applicable to the position. Final salary will be based on a number of factors including level, relevant prior experience, skills, and expertise. This range is only inclusive of base salary, not benefits or equity.Benefits
