Job Description:

Job Title: Software EngineerLocation: Nearshore role (100% Remote)Duration: 12+ Months ContractKey Responsibilities:

• Tealium Implementation: Implement and configure Tealium iQ (TiQ) Tag Management by writing and updating JavaScript code for tags, load rules and extensions for multiple brands and markets. Prioritizing and sequencing tags to improve performance and reporting accuracy.
• Data Layer Integrity: Maintain, configure and troubleshoot quality data for accuracy and smooth data flow across multiple platforms.
• Vendor Integration: Work closely with development teams to integrate 3rd party vendors on the site.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of tags, triggers and data collection to ensure proper functionality and data accuracy. Use browser console tools and extensions for data testing, network verification, placing synthetic orders and unit testing.
• Deployment: Deploy TiQ code to dev/qa environments following GapInc's standard deployment methods.
• Documentation: Update documentation for applications including code comments, README files, and JIRA comments.Qualifications/Skills:
• Able to write clean, self-documented client-side JavaScript
• Thorough knowledge of HTML, CSS, SASS and DOM structure
• React JS, NodeJS, next.js (preferred)
• GitHub CLI, REST API (preferred)Experience:
• 2+ years' experience writing and troubleshooting JavaScript/HTML/CSS
• Tag Management (Tealium/Tealium API experience mandatory)
• E-Commerce (preferred)
• Web Analytics (preferred)
• JIRA/GitHub/SNOW (preferred)
