System Administrator 1 to join our Security and Electronic Systems
(SES) business unit. As part of the SES Strategic Business Unit,
you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates,
operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of
intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication,
video surveillance, audio visual, IT systems, perimeter defense and
command and control systems for federal, local and commercial
customers across high-growth markets.Clearance/Citizen Type: No
Clearance Required.Work Type: Full-timeWhat you'll do:In this role,
you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and testing
Physical Access Control, CCTV, PSIM, and other Integrated
Electronic Systems. This is an on-site position, based at a single
location. The ideal candidate will have flexibility in their
schedule, maintain a neat appearance, and demonstrate the ability
to communicate professionally with both customers and coworkers.
Key factors for success include punctuality, consistent attendance,
a willingness to learn, and strong teamwork skills.Essential
responsibilities and activities include but are not limited to:
- Manage physical security system support to meet service level
agreements.
- Analyze physical security system performance and recommend
improvements.
- Resolve complex system issues for physical security systems and
networks.
- Triage customer support calls, providing Tier 1 help desk
support and Tier 2 escalation.
- Communicate with customers, manufacturers, vendors, and
technical specialists.
- Train system users and other system support personnel.
- Analyze and modify preventive maintenance checklists for system
changes.
- Troubleshoot system performance issues and implement corrective
actions.
- Perform preventive maintenance actions including system
back-ups, error log reviews, database size, and integrity
checks.
- Organize and prepare detailed documentation of system
performance, including service request records and analysis.
- Perform desktop hardware and operating system set-up, imaging
software loading, and antivirus updates.
- Perform all duties with minimal direct supervision.Key
Requirements:Position / Candidate Requirements
- Education: 6+ years of experience with a High School Diploma or
1+ years with a Bachelor's in Engineering.Required Progressive
Experience:
- Requires the ability to work flexible shifts that may include
occasional nights, weekends and holidays.
- 1+ years of experience in troubleshooting access control
hardware issues.
- 1+ years of experience in troubleshooting access control
application issues.
- 1+ years of experience in other physical security systems such
as: Video management, Key box, Visitor management, PSIM.
- 1+ years of experience in developing root cause analysis
documentation or developing instructional guides on how to
install/configure access control hardware.Preferred/Desired:
- Experience in iStar replacement projects.
- CCURE inst/main certified.
- CCURE Adv Integrator certified.
- FLIR Certified.
