ABOUT USNext Stage Design + Build is a dynamic team of remodeling professionals, dedicated to bringing a full-service experience to upscale homeowners in Silicon Valley. We're looking for a project designer with a passion for construction to join our top-notch design team. We're in search of an experienced designer ready to jump in on small to mid-size remodeling projects with varying levels of complexity. Solid space planning skills are essential. Keen eye for developing color and materials palettes and presenting with confidence. A background in design-build or residential remodeling is a plus. Full-time hybrid position in North San Jose.Key Responsibilities

• Design small to mid-size kitchen, bath, and whole house remodels
• Produce detailed construction drawings, including electrical plans, elevations, floorplans and permit sets
• Lead clients through the design process from concept to completion
• Specify all design materials for projects
• Collaborate with a design/build team in planning and executing projectsQualifications
• Associate or bachelor's degree in design or interior architecture
• Minimum 3 years in interior design, preferably in residential remodeling
• Proficient drafting skills, preferably in Chief Architect
• Basic knowledge of residential building code
• Solid space planning skills, specific to the remodeled space
• Understanding of Universal Design
• Highly organized and detail focused
• Skilled at project planning and time management
• Exceptional communicator and listener
• Experienced creating materials palettes and sourcing materialsCOMPENSATIONCompetitive salary with benefits including paid vacation time, medical and dental coverage and an opportunity to grow within an Employee-Owned company.
