.Position SummaryThe Immunology and Cardiovascular Thematic
Research Center (ICV TRC) is focused on discovering and developing
novel therapeutics to treat immunological and cardiovascular
diseases. The Cardiovascular Discovery group within the ICV-TRC
seeks to understand disease pathophysiology to enable target
identification that will allow the discovery of novel therapeutics
for patients with cardiovascular diseases.BMS seeks a highly
motivated, creative, and collaborative Molecular and/or Cellular
Biologist to join our Cardiovascular Discovery group. This person
will support research efforts to discover and develop novel
therapies for the treatment of serious cardiovascular disease,
including genetic cardiomyopathies and heart failure. The
successful candidate will work collaboratively within the Molecular
and Cellular technologies group to support BMS's Cardiovascular
Research and Early Discovery efforts. Research will be aimed at
establishment and validation of cellular models for novel
therapeutic targets, and development of cellular assays for
screening therapeutics. The candidate will be a highly motivated
individual with some experience in cell culture and molecular
biology techniques, and further experience in iPSC handling and
gene-editing techniques would be desirable. This position provides
the exciting opportunity to be a part of and grow with a key
discovery function within the CV Discovery group.Key
Responsibilities
- Standard cell culture support including maintaining and plating
of cells in microtiter plates.
- Support gene-editing of mammalian cells, including iPSCs,
towards generating disease models.
- Broad range of molecular and cell biology techniques to test
and validate cellular models of novel therapeutic targets.
- Analyze data, prepare reports and publications for
cross-functional teams.
- Support some lab management duties as assigned.Qualifications &

- Current Bachelor's degree students with relevant lab
experience
- Current Master's students with relevant lab experienceThe
starting compensation for this job is a range from $21.00/hour -
$29.00/hour. The starting pay rate takes into account
characteristics of the job, such as required skills and the
geographic location where work is performed. Final individual
compensation is decided commensurate with demonstrated experience
