Job Description:
Supervises Team Members, oversees department displays, and
supports leadership to ensure a smooth operation. Ensures a
positive company image by providing courteous service to customers
and Team Members. All positions must be performed in accordance
with team and store Standard Operating Procedures.
- Supervises and delegates tasks to Prepared Foods Team
Members.
- Trains Team Members to build a high-performance team and
minimizes turnover.
- Assists in training of new Team Members, utilizing learning
checklists and training materials.
- Keeps all cases and shelves clean, well-stocked and properly
rotated.
- Opens and closes department according to established
procedures.
- Ensures all necessary breaks are given.
- Communicates team concerns to the Team Leader and Associate
Team Leader.
- Sets and achieves the highest standards of retail
execution.
- Fosters a positive environment of teamwork and exceptional
morale.
- Maintains awareness of customer flows and needs and directs
Team Members to satisfy and delight customers.
- Selects, trains, develops, mentors, motivates, and counsels
Team Members to sustain a high-performance team.
- Provides timely performance evaluations.
- Consistently communicates and models WFM vision and
goals.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of Prepared Foods team procedures and
policies.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and
customer relationship skills.
- Teaching others in a positive and constructive manner.
- Product knowledge.
- Advanced knowledge of regulatory and safety policies and
procedures.
- Proficient mathematical skills for assessing financial
performance and managing inventory.
- Decision-making ability, leadership skills, and ability to
prioritize and delegate.
- Proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and
operations-related applications.Desired Work Experiences:
- 12+ months retail experience.Physical Requirements / Working
Conditions:
- Lifts 50 pounds.
- Standing/walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day.
- Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and
pulling.
- Bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
- Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.
- Temperatures: 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Wet and dry conditions.
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as
needed.
- Use of tools and equipment, including knives, box cutters,
electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
- May require use of ladders.
