Job Description:
GENERAL SUMMARY: Designs training programs, including formal
classes, eLearnings, online courses, and self-study sessions for
field employees. Works with subject matter experts and identifies
target audience's training needs, then applies tested instructional
design theories, practices, and methods to material development to
ensure training success. A brand consumer and advocate for retail
brands.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Consult and interact with stakeholders to gain knowledge of
business objectives and opportunities to construct learning
solutions.
- Create intellectually challenging and personally engaging
learning experiences that integrate multiple delivery channels,
including but not limited to instructor-led, experiential, online,
and mobile learning.
- Assist with coordination and delivery of learning programs;
manage program logistics and schedules.
- Facilitate, as needed, train-the-trainer sessions, pilot
classes, and leadership trainings where applicable.
- Delivery of corporate retail training as needed.
- Select appropriate training and performance support elements
for solutions, e.g., instructor-led training, web-based training,
virtual instruction, on-the-job training, etc.
- Select and develop teaching aids such as training handbooks,
demonstration models, learning and design templates, multimedia
visual aids, storyboards, tutorials, knowledge articles, and
reference works.
- Effectively communicate project scope, status, and requirements
to all stakeholders.
- Manage the creation, delivery, and quality assurance of
instructionally effective content.
- Research and propose new, innovative training modalities
focused on the unique needs of adult learners.ORGANIZATION
RELATIONSHIPS: This position will interact with corporate business
partners and trainers in other areas of the organization.REQUIRED
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge, skills & abilities:
- Subject matter expert in Training and Adult Education
Theory
- Experienced analyst and highly skilled in communication and
writing
- Highly skilled with PC skills: Microsoft Office-Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, Photoshop, Access or other software/database skills,
Sharepoint
- Highly skilled with eLearning and SCORM compliant web-based
development tools such as Adobe Captivate, Adobe Connect,
Articulate 360, Synthesia, HTML, audio-visual technology
- Experienced user of project management skills and tools to
manage multiple projects and to define and meet milestones,
communicate issues and risks while maintaining control over
quality, cost, and schedule
- Minimum educational level:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum experience:
- 5+ years of experience in Learning Management Systems and
keeping knowledge up-to-date
- 5+ years of Web Design, Multimedia Training Design, and/or
Instructional Design experience
- 5+ years of facilitation experience
- 5+ years of experience in training delivery and instructional
design of multimedia learning applications and classroom-based
learning
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience, with field knowledge
and exposure to front line workersHorizontal facilitates valuable

role is $19 - $45 per hour. This is not a guarantee of
