OverviewNational multidisciplinary design firm is seeking a
talented Job Captain to join their San Francisco office. In this
role, you will have opportunities to work with our award-winning
thought leaders on exciting projects that involve thoughtful
planning, research, sustainability, and architectural innovation!
The studio is looking for an individual who enjoys collaborating
with project teams and has confidence building long-term strategic
relationships with our clients in northern California.The firm has
11 offices all around the world focusing on healthcare, arts and
culture, community, corporate, education, and government projects.
Recently, the firm won the prestigious American Architecture Award
for Museums and Cultural Building, along with IIDA Healthcare
Design Award.Responsibilities
- Develop a thorough understanding of projects design philosophy
and provides major input in concepts according to parameters
defined by Project Manager or Project Architect.
- Produce construction documents in Revit, including plans,
sections, and details.
- Assist with quality control for the design function and
integrates and coordinates all disciplines into the building
project.
- Maintain ongoing communications to understand any project
changes, design issues or time/budget constraints that may impact
initial assignment.
- Interact and communicate effectively and professionally with
other team members.
- Use your past knowledge and experience to enhance the quality
of product, recognize problem misuses, communicate impact to team,
and seek clarity when necessary.
- Assume execution of and assist with quality control activities
for architectural elements on a project.
- Review drawings, documents, and submittals for document
compliance and documenting code review and compliance.
- Use past experience and project knowledge to assist the Project
Manager keeping in mind schedules/budgets and provide communication
as appropriate with team leaders and/or team members who are
responsible for workflow/timelines, etc.
- Meet project design schedule and design construction
budgets.
- Assist with cost estimates and evaluation of bids with Project
Manager.
- Assist with the preparation of analysis including alternatives
or substitutions to reduce costs.QualificationsPreferred candidates
will have:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
- 6-10 years of experience with small to large scale
projects.
- Interest in working on medium to large-scale project types in a
very collaborative environment.
- Proficiency in Revit required; experience with AutoCAD,
Enscape, and other graphic tools desired.
- Strong 2D and 3D graphic skills desired.
- Healthcare experience and OSHPD/DSA experience highly
