Ease of use is critical to our success, and we are seeking a strong design leader to ensure that our end-to-end user experience is as world-class as our query performance.Meet the teamAs the Head of Product Design, you will lead the design team across all SingleStore products. This is a player/coach role where you will be setting the comprehensive design vision across various products while actively engaging in hands-on design for high-profile mission-critical projects. The product design team consists of 3 Senior UX designers, working across 12 product managers, with primary focuses on Growth, Developer Experience, and AI.What you will do

• Take ownership of the end-to-end user experience across all SingleStore products and ensure it is consistent and easy to use for prospects and customers.
• Partner with product & engineering leadership to deliver features and contribute to the longer-term direction of the product strategy across the SingleStore platform.
• Work with product and engineering to use AI to improve the user experience and to make SingleStore the best platform for creating apps that utilize AI.
• Leverage your skills in user experience, interaction design, and research to get hands-on with complex projects.
• Champion design-led thinking in everything you do, evangelizing partners to do the same.
• Coach team members to continually improve their craft and deliver an exceptional experience, fostering a culture of design excellence and business impact.Required Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or an equivalent or technical field.
  • 2+ years of experience managing design teams, specifically mentoring and growing senior designers.
  • 5+ years of experience in product design, with 2+ years of experience working on B2B software.
  • Experience working on a data product is highly desirable.
  • Experience working on product-led growth / free trial experiences is highly desirable.
  • A system thinker who has the vision to design the big picture, and the strategic background to align design work with business goals and influence broader product strategy.
  • Deep expertise in interaction, visual design, and user experience with an emphasis on translating complex concepts into simple interfaces.
  • Ability to build strong relationships across functions and communicate design decisions clearly to different sets of audiences: senior leadership, PMs, engineers, customers, and users.Benefits
