Job Description:
Under general supervision, the Contracts and Grants Analyst is
responsible for performing pre and post-award research
administration duties including but not limited to developing
research proposals, managing awards, processing transactions
related to contract and grant management, and maintaining contract
and grant records in compliance with institutional and research
sponsor policies. The Contracts and Grants Analyst will coordinate
the submission of proposals to multiple agencies, including the
development of multi-year budgets, where analysis of financial
information requires review of a variety of factors (e.g. salaries,
fringe benefits, expenses, etc). Receives assignments on a project
basis and fully analyzes problems, gathers data and information,
and recommends solutions. Completes and approves transactions for
signature by manager or other authorized institutional official.
The Contracts and Grants analyst will assist faculty in planning
for the effective and appropriate use of all their funds; and
ensure compliance with agency-specific terms and conditions,
federal OMB circulars, and UC policy.
This position is designated as a Career Ladder recruitment, which
means the hiring department can recruit and fill this role at
different levels within the position classification series.

Grants Analyst and Senior Contracts and Grants Analyst. Applicants

The full salary range for the Contracts and Grants Analyst position
is $61,000 - $106,800 annually. However, the expected pay scale for
this position is up to $81,200 annually. We base salary offers on a
variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and
certifications, experience, and other business and organizational
needs.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a
UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take
over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all

local government directives may impose additional requirements.
