employees!Job OverviewThe Sr Data Engineer designs and develops
data architectures in on-premise, cloud and hybrid platforms. The
Sr Data Engineer collaborates with Data Engineers on analysis,
architecture, design, and development of data warehouse and
business analytics solutions. This role mentors other team members
in their efforts to build data engineering skillsets.Job
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and
systems using Java and Python to support real-time and batch
processing.
- Architect and implement solutions utilizing Apache Kafka for
efficient data streaming and message processing.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications on Kubernetes for
highly available and scalable data infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity initiatives by staying up
to date with the latest security protocols and implementing them
across data engineering projects.
- Leverage advanced AWS SageMaker and GroundTruth capabilities to
build and deploy machine learning models and manage large
datasets.
- Utilize Google Gemini ML models for advanced machine learning
applications and data processing.
- Optimize data warehousing solutions in Redshift and BigQuery,
ensuring high performance and cost-effectiveness for large-scale
data operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data
solutions with cloud services, ensuring end-to-end data integrity
and security.Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, a
related subject area or equivalent experience (Required)Work
Experience:
- 5 years developing cloud solutions using data series;
experience with cloud platforms (Amazon Web Services, Azure, or
Google Cloud) (Required)
- Hands-on development using and migrating data to cloud
platforms (Required)
- Experience in SQL, NoSQL, and/or relational database design and
development (Required)
- Advanced knowledge and experience in building complex data
pipelines with Python, Experience in languages such as SQL, DAX
Python, Java, Scala, and/or Go (Required)Knowledge, Skills and
Abilities:
- Analytical approach to problem-solving; ability to use
technology to tackle business problems (Preferred)
- Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and
highly scalable 'big data' data stores (Preferred)
- Ability to manage work across multiple projects, good
organizational skills (Preferred)
- Passionate about learning new technologies (Preferred)Licenses
and Certifications:
- Cloud platform certification(s) i.e. AWS Certified Solutions
Architect, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Microsoft Certified
Solutions Associate (MCSA) (Preferred)--- At least 18 years of

$105,100 - $189,600Corporate Bonus Target: 15%The pay range above
is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the
role. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on
various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and
experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this
range.At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are
eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus,
based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a
year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and
which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in
the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for
monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.At
