Join us in our mission to empower developers worldwideMintlify's platform reaches 20m+ developers every year and powers the documentation of 3500+ companies including Anthropic, Pinecone, Zapier, to over 20% of the last YC batch.Design EngineerWe're seeking a creative and technically skilled Design Engineer to join our team, combining strong design sensibilities with modern frontend development expertise.Position Overview: Our ideal candidate bridges the gap between design and development, crafting beautiful, responsive interfaces while maintaining excellent code quality and performance.Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience building and deploying Next.js applications in production environments
• Strong proficiency with TailwindCSS and component-based design systems
• Active personal portfolio showcasing your design and development work
• Deep understanding of frontend performance optimization and responsive design principles
• Experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript development practices
• Strong eye for design, typography, spacing, and visual hierarchyResponsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain responsive web applications using Next.js and TailwindCSS
  • Collaborate with designers and backend engineers to implement pixel-perfect interfaces
  • Create reusable component libraries and design systems
  • Optimize application performance and user experience
  • Contribute to technical architecture decisions and best practices
  • Mentor junior developers in frontend development and design principlesPreferred Qualifications:
    • Familiarity with UI/UX design tools (Figma, Adobe XD)
