Manufacturing Equipment Engineer, Tesla BotThe Manufacturing
Equipment Engineer is responsible for the performance of equipment
used in the production of vehicle powertrains and manage tooling
designs and upgrades to meet necessary upgrades for OEE performance
improvements and product design changes. They will manage and
develop equipment maintenance procedures, train Equipment
Technicians for best practices in maintenance procedures and
downtime recovery, and provide support to various products and
programs as subject matter experts of similar processes and
technologies. They will work closely with Design, Operations,
Safety, Facilities, Quality, Maintenance, Controls, and Process
Engineering teams to achieve safe and efficient manufacturability
of Tesla products.What You'll Do
- Subject matter expert of equipment used in their area,
supporting improvements and escalations related to yield, quality,
downtime, and safety
- Manage equipment performance and present OEE data. Manage
equipment and product roadmaps to meet design and production ramp
plans
- Design new equipment/machine stations as well as manage tooling
upgrades for existing production stations
- Work with equipment vendors to establish Tesla standards and
requirements for manufacturing technologiesWhat You'll Bring
- Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Aerospace, Electrical
Engineering, or the equivalent in experience
- 1-3 years of hands-on mechanical and electrical experience in a
production environment
- Experience with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software
- Understanding of automation systems, mechanical engineering,
robotics, PLCs, data collection systems
- Experience with drilling, tapping, and utilizing basic shop
tools. Working knowledge of data analysis, statistics, SPC
- Able to maintain organization and focus in a highly dynamic
environment. Excellent communicator, both in presentations and

Compensation$80,000 - $168,000/annual salary + cash and stock
awards + benefitsPay offered may vary depending on multiple
individualized factors, including market location, job-related
knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package
for this position may also include other elements dependent on the
position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans
will be provided if an employee receives an offer of
