Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Engineering Scheduler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering project scheduling, with a deep understanding of Agile principles and hands-on experience with Jira. As an Engineering Scheduler, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our engineering projects are planned, tracked, and executed efficiently.

What your day may look like:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for engineering teams, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather project requirements and define scheduling parameters.
  • Utilize Agile methodologies to create and manage sprint plans, backlogs, and release schedules.
  • Monitor engineering resource allocations and update changes to the plan.
  • Use Jira to track and manage project tasks, issues, workload, and workflows, ensuring accurate and up-to-date project information.
  • Conduct regular schedule reviews and updates, providing status reports to project stakeholders.
  • Facilitate stand-up meetings, sprint planning sessions, and retrospectives to ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to project schedules, resource allocation, and dependencies.
  • Continuously improve scheduling processes and tools to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.

    • Preferred bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
    • Proven experience as an Engineering Scheduler or in a similar role within an engineering, production or technology environment.
    • Strong understanding of Agile principles and methodologies.
    • Proficiency in using Jira for project scheduling and task management.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
    • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision.

      • Experience in the transportation or mobility industry.

          This position is located in Sacramento, CA. The salary range for this position in Sacramento, CA $69,200 - $85,000 per year. The actual salary/wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
