FranciscoDescriptionWe are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented
person to lead community engagement and event initiatives for a
renowned organization, a thriving women's leadership community. The
organization is founded on the belief that developing authentic,
supportive relationships between women leaders can move the
world.As our first operations leader, you will quickly become the
linchpin of our community's events and operations. You'll pair your
experience in event planning, project management, communications,
and community engagement with your passion for creating meaningful
experiences. You'll help cultivate a vibrant community and deliver
meaningful events that take this community - and the women leaders
who are members - to the next level.In this role, you will be
responsible for managing the core aspects of operating this
community:Event Planning and Management
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee a diverse portfolio of meaningful
and inspiring events (e.g., weekend retreats, group dinners)
- Identify and secure event venues and vendors aligned with our
mission and community culture
- Manage event logistics (venues, catering, transportation),
including day-of event management for 5 to 10 retreats per year and
5 to 10 dinners
- Manage and track event budgets and payments
- Manage event operations for robust virtual event program
- Gather and analyze event feedback to enable continuous
improvementCommunity Operations
- Coordinate member recruitment process with community
leadership
- Facilitate smooth and inclusive onboarding process for new
members
- Oversee annual membership renewal process
- Support the operations and vibrancy of the online Slack
communityAdministration
- Operate community CRM, maintaining up-to-date information about
all members
- Utilize tools (Webflow, EventBrite, Zoom, etc.) to administer
community calendar, invites, scheduling processes, &
communications
- Manage bi-annual mailings and giftsCommunication
- Manage written communication across a variety of channels
(email, Slack, etc.), conveying information in a clear, concise,
and warm manner
- Effectively communicate in person with a range of stakeholders
(members, leaders, vendors, etc.)
- Aid strategic decision-making by knowing which decisions need
additional input and efficiently surfacing key details and
recommendationsThis is a full-time virtual role that may require
occasional time on evenings/weekends to support the event calendar.
Bay Area-based candidates are preferred.Experience Requirements3
