Job Description:
Currie & Brown is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to
join our dynamic team in the Hospitality Sector. This role provides
an exciting opportunity to contribute to transformative hospitality
projects, supporting sustainable and innovative solutions for our
clients. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational
skills, a proactive attitude, and a passion for collaborating with
diverse teams to deliver exceptional results.Responsibilities will
include:
- Project Support: Assist the Project Manager in planning,
coordinating, and delivering hospitality-related projects, ensuring
they are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare project documentation,
including schedules, progress reports, meeting minutes, and risk
assessments.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a point of contact for
clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders, ensuring
clear communication and alignment throughout the project
lifecycle.
- Contract Administration: Support the management of contracts,
including reviewing, negotiating, and ensuring compliance with
project requirements.
- Budget and Cost Control: Assist in tracking budgets, managing
financial records, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Risk Management: Monitor project risks and escalate issues to
the Project Manager, providing recommendations for mitigation
strategies.
- Compliance: Ensure all project activities comply with relevant
safety, quality, and environmental standards and regulations.
- Technical Assistance: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
to review technical documents and specifications to ensure project
requirements are met.Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction
management, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-4 years of project management experience,
preferably in the hospitality sector.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with project management
tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar platforms.
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to prioritize tasks, meet
deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced
environment.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication
skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients
and team members.
- Problem-Solving: A proactive mindset with the ability to
identify challenges and recommend solutions effectively.
- Knowledge of the Hospitality Sector: Understanding of
hospitality project requirements.
- Certifications: PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.About
