smartdept. is searching for a Project Managerfor an ad agency client located in Berkeley, CA. The ideal candidate will come with 5+ years of experience. This is afull-time,hybrid, ongoing contract opportunity with the possibility to convert to perm status.As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of advertising and marketing campaigns. You will oversee cross-functional teams, manage timelines, and ensure deliverables are completed on schedule and within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards.This role requires a strategic thinker who is looking to be part of a lean team and be flexible to new perspectives while maintaining strong communication and problem-solving skills.What You'll Do:

• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Act as the central point of contact for clients, account managers, creative teams, and vendors.
• Facilitate communication across departments to ensure alignment on project goals and milestones.
• Oversee day-to-day project activities, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Identify and address potential risks or roadblocks, providing solutions to keep projects on track.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular updates, feedback sessions, and issue resolution.
• Ensure client satisfaction by delivering projects that meet or exceed expectations.
• Track and report on project performance, offering insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Contribute to post-project evaluations to refine processes and enhance future outcomes.What You'll Need:
  • 5+ years of project management experience
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing priorities.
  • Strong understanding of advertising and marketing workflows, including digital, print, and multimedia campaigns.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Trello, Asana, or Microsoft Project.
  • Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Certification in Project Management (PMP, Agile, or similar) is a plus.
