Located at the Mission Bay Campus in an award-winning building, Gladstone offers competitive salaries and benefits, providing an optimal environment for individuals to realize their full potential and make a meaningful impact on global health.About the role:Gladstone's Center for Translational Advancement (GCTA) seeks a Research Associate I/II to join our multidisciplinary team and work on a large-scale drug re-positioning project. This candidate will have the opportunity to get trained on state-of-the-art single-cell RNA sequencing technologies and contribute to critical components of the Center's drug re-purposing infrastructure.What you will do:After training, the person is expected to routinely perform single-cell RNAseq assays under the supervision of senior personnel. He/she is also asked to provide regular quality assurance reports detailing assay quality and consistency. The ideal candidate is highly organized, integrally motivated, and eager to learn. Previous experience with single-cell RNA-seq is preferred but not required.What you will need:

  • BS or MS in a field of biological sciences required.
  • 1+ years' experience in a laboratory setting with molecular biology assays.
  • Previous experience in RNA work is strongly desired.
  • Previous experience in single-cell RNAseq is preferred but not required.
