Business Development/Technical Sales LeadReports to: VP of
Business OperationsRegion Responsibility: Northern
CaliforniaResponsibilities for this position include the
following:
- Driving sales and new business growth for the organization
- Driving RFQ, RFP and Interviews for opportunities
- Meeting Sales targets and objectives
- Maintaining required pipeline to meet YOY sales and Revenue
goals
- Attending and participating in market networking, events and
conferences
- Developing and maintaining relationships with Architects,
Owners, Consultants and Program/Construction Managers
- Meeting in-person with Owners/Architects/CMs presenting
PowerPoint or other presentation collateral
- Connecting TQ leaders with strategic contacts
- Maintaining a log of all current and future specific project
opportunities
- Sales pipeline management through CRM software
- Working collaboratively with business and plant operations
leaders on forecasting revenue and plant production schedules
- Learning and applying XL Industries' Business Acquisition
Process to increase relationships and wins
- Understanding the details and technical aspects of the TQ
building solutions, i.e., sustainability, prefabrication, timber,
product limitations, price and schedule parameters, etc.
- Being a TQ brand ambassador participating in industry events,
podcasts, etc.Requirements for this position include the
following:
- Minimum 10 years' experience as a business development
professional in design or construction.
- Public education and civic industry experience including
knowledge of procurement and project delivery methods
- Knowledge of mass timber construction and/or prefabrication is
desirable
- History of bringing in closable opportunities
- Comfortable presenting to an audience and managing business
development events
- BA/BS degree desirable
