Billing organization builds and maintains the Stripe Billing
product suite. Our mission is to help our users grow revenue by
automating their business model and revenue collection. We focus on
letting users unlock business model innovation by delivering
platform solutions that serve many use cases out of the box, but
are also easily customizable for bespoke needs. Stripe Billing is
thus easy to get started with, and can grow with its users as they
scale revenue and become complex enterprises.What you'll
doEffective Technical Program Managers at Stripe always bias
towards driving the right solutions for internal and external
users, and delivering impact for them above all else. You'll do
this even when it's not the easiest path for us or our teams, and
requires trade-off decisions. You will look ahead and around
corners to enable our teams to operate at their best, and for
opportunities to eliminate the unnecessary in delivering
results.Responsibilities
- Independently define programs for specific problems. This
includes scoping, setting objectives, defining success criteria,
and influencing resource allocation to solve for it.
- Consistently use frameworks for prioritization and decision
making within your programs.
- Use your broad perspective to identify obstacles/issues,
communicate to stakeholders, proactively plan to address the
obstacles/issues, and look for ways to prevent the recurrence of
issues.
- Assemble a clear understanding of our internal and external
users' needs, leveraging your product sense to drive solution
delivery. You will represent user voices to all stakeholders
including engineering and other stakeholders involved in delivering
solutions.
- Drive clarity across all stakeholders on the goal, problem and
outcomes the team is working towards. You are known as a clarifier
and enabler for your teammates.
- Develop a strong POV of product development at Stripe. To scale
your impact, you will collaborate with the appropriate stakeholders
to define programs with clear and measurable outcomes that adapt it
to meet our users' needs. You will bias towards high-velocity yet
durable decision making. You will frequently examine the program
from the perspectives of your stakeholders to identify
opportunities and gaps.
- Understand the technical problems that need to be solved, and
work closely with necessary stakeholders of the engineering teams,
technical systems/processes involved to define and manage the most
effective way to enable teams to deliver solutions.
- Bring rapid clarity to ambiguous situations, resolve them
effectively, communicate decisions efficiently, and enable teams to
move towards implementing solutions. You will bring your experience
and contextual knowledge to bear on the problems that teams need to
solve.Who you areWe're looking for someone who meets the minimum
requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these

- 10+ years of product management or technical program management
experience.
- Experience providing program management during all phases of
software development.
- Proven track record of defining and executing complex programs
across multiple functions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the
ability to establish strong relationships with stakeholders and
senior leaders.
- Thrive in solving ambiguous problems and see opportunities
where others see chaos.
- Relentless focus on users and solving for their needs and
wants.
- Have strong prioritization frameworks to drive development for
the product team and customers. You will have a strong
understanding of our product roadmaps and help leaders navigate how
to balance meeting the roadmap and balancing priority customer
needs.
- Understand API design, domain driven design, and be able to
read and interpret high level system architecture
diagrams.Preferred qualifications
- Experience collaborating with sales and technical
implementation/activation teams.
- Experience with customer facing roles (e.g. customer success
management).This role is available either in an office or a remote
location (typically, 35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe
office).Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a
given month in their local office or with users. This hits a
balance between bringing people together for in-person
collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting
flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for
individuals and their teams.A remote location, in most cases, is
defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our
offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for
team/business meetings, on-sites, meet-ups, and events, our
expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a
Stripe office. Stripe does not cover the cost of relocating to a
remote location. We encourage you to apply for roles that match the
location where you currently or plan to live.The annual US base
salary range for this role is $189,300 - $283,800. For sales roles,
the range provided is the role's On Target Earnings ("OTE") range,
meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales
bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary
range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will
be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of
factors, including the candidate's experience, qualifications, and
location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not
located in the US may request the annual salary range for their
location during the interview process.Additional benefits for this
role may include: equity, company bonus or sales
commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision
